We have trained and professional staff that is knowledgeable about sexual abuse and sexual assault and other traumas. They will be sensitive to your needs and will help guide you in your healing process.
Power House Psychotherapy & Addiction, LLC’s staff members of the Sexual Abuse and Traumas Treatment program are trained, Masters Degreed professionals with years of experience working with sexual abuse and other traumas victims and their families. Our staff members are knowledgeable in sexual abuse and traumas service. They are skilled and licensed therapists that have the expertise and experience in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders. They will assist you with any difficulties you may be facing or dealing within daily life.
Power House Psychotherapy & Addiction, LLC provides short-term and long-term sexual abuse and or assault, and other traumas victim services for individuals dealing with sexual abuse and or sexual assault, or any other type of trauma problems. We provide services for all age groups.
The modalities and specific components of our Sexual Abuse Treatment services include:

We offer different group therapies that cover different topics every session. Topics may include: Trauma-Focused CBT, Coping Skills, Stress management and relaxation techniques, Family Support and Education Groups, Parenting Classes, and Coping with Trauma and loss.
At Power House Psychotherapy & Addiction, LLC an individualized treatment plan is developed for each sexual abuse or trauma case to meet the specific needs of each victim and his or her family system. Our goal is to treat the effects of the trauma and prevent its reoccurrence while respecting and maintaining the integrity of the individual as well as the family.
Treatment and Interventions: We utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
TF-CBT consists of several core treatment components that are designed to be provided in a flexible and developmentally-appropriate manner to address the unique needs of each victim and family. TF-CBT is a short-term treatment and consist of 24 treatment sessions. Treatment may be provided for longer periods depending on each victim and family’s needs. It consists of Individual sessions for the victim and for the parents or family, as well as joint parent or family-victim sessions that address the following:
1. Providing education to children and their caregivers about the impact of trauma on children and common childhood reactions to trauma.
2. Helping children and parents identify and cope with a range of emotions.
3. Developing personalized stress management skills for children and parents.
4. Teaching children and parents how to recognize the connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
5. Encouraging children to share their traumatic experiences either verbally, in the form of a written narrative, or in some other developmentally appropriate manner.
6. Helping children and parents talk with each other about the traumatic experiences.
7. Modifying children’s and parents’ inaccurate or unhelpful trauma-related thoughts, and
8. Helping parents develop skills for optimizing their children’s emotional and behavioral adjustment.
